Notes
Chalk liveforever (Dudleya pulverulenta) is a succulent for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its fleshy rosettes have chalky-white leaves, and tall stalks carry clusters of small red flowers that draw hummingbirds and bees.
Pairs well with Afterglow echeveria, Lipstick echeveria, and Fox tail agave.
