Notes

Coast dudleya (Dudleya cespitosa) is a succulent for borders, containers, and ground cover. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry, sandy or loamy soil. It stays under 4 inches tall and keeps its leaves all year. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit it, and it handles drought and salt.

Pairs well with Bluff lettuce, Seaside daisy, and Seaside buckwheat.
