Notes

'Champlain' rose (Rosa 'Champlain') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy or clay soil. Dark red, fragrant blooms open from early to late summer and attract bees. Felicitas J. Svejda bred it in 1982.

Pairs well with Limelight hydrangea, Monsieur Jules Elie peony, and American Gold Rush black-eyed Susan.
