Notes

'Chandler' strawberry (Fragaria ananassa 'Chandler') is a fruit plant for food gardens, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. Pink flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and bees visit them. The creeping, evergreen plants spread about 12 inches. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Redhaven peach, Berggarten sage, and Georgia Peach coral bells.
