Notes

'Berggarten' sage (Salvia officinalis 'Berggarten') is an herb for borders, containers, food gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The mounding plant has fragrant, evergreen leaves and blue-purple flowers that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. You can pick the leaves for cooking.

Pairs well with Oregano, Creeping thyme, and Six Hills Giant nepeta.
