Notes

'Cherry Bells' spotted bellflower (Campanula punctata 'Cherry Bells') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Cherry red, fragrant bells open in spring and again in summer, and hummingbirds visit them. Plants grow at a rapid pace, so give them room. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Gaura, and Ornamental onion.
