Notes
Common harebell (Campanula rotundifolia) is a perennial for pollinator gardens, containers, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Nodding, bell-shaped blue-violet flowers hang from thread-like stems, and hummingbirds visit them. Deer rarely make it their first choice. The long lasting flowers sit on weak stems, so the plant may bend over.
Pairs well with Nodding onion, Brown-eyed Susan, and Indian grass.
