Notes

'Cherryberry' strawberry (Fragaria ananassa 'Cherryberry') is a fruit for the food garden and for ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. It is a junebearer, so it gives its largest, sweetest berries over 2 to 3 weeks. The fruit ripens to a dark red, almost purple, with a sweet flavor. White flowers open in early to late spring, and song birds visit the plants.

Pairs well with Lemon balm, Victoria rhubarb, and Lime basil.
