Notes

'Chevy Chase' rose (Rosa 'Chevy Chase') is a vine for cottage gardens, specimen planting, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Dark red, fragrant flowers open from early to late summer and attract bees. It can climb to about 15 feet, so give it a sturdy support. Niels Hansen bred it in 1939.

Pairs well with Clematis, Star Gazer lily, and Delphinium.
