Notes

'Chocolate Chip' bugle (Ajuga reptans 'Chocolate Chip') is a perennial for ground cover, shade gardens, rock gardens, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet soil of most types. It is evergreen and creeps along quickly to fill open spaces. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms in spring and summer.

Pairs well with Green Spice coral bells, Krossa Regal hosta, and Cinnamon fern.
