Notes

'Catlin' bugle (Ajuga reptans 'Catlin') is a perennial for ground cover, shade gardens, rock gardens, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It spreads fast and stays evergreen, with blue flowers in spring and summer. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Guacamole hosta, Green Spice coral bells, and Cinnamon fern.
