Notes

'Burgundy Glow' bugle (Ajuga reptans 'Burgundy Glow') is a perennial for ground cover, borders, shade gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet soil of most types. It spreads fast and stays evergreen, so it fills in bare spots quickly. Blue flowers open in spring and again in summer, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Fire and Ice hosta, Cinnamon fern, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Hummingbird sweet pepperbush.
