Notes

'Chocolate Fountain' silk tree (Albizia julibrissin 'Chocolate Fountain') is a tree for borders and xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows fast and bears fragrant flowers in spring and summer. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds all visit it.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Siebold's hosta, and Fountain grass.
