Notes

Silk tree (Albizia julibrissin) is a tree for borders, containers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Fragrant pink flowers attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer. The tree grows fast and tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Bloodgood Japanese maple, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Festiva Maxima peony.
