Notes

Christopher's Coral peony (Paeonia lactiflora Christopher's Coral) is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large single bloom opens deep coral in late spring and fades to lavender after a few days. It holds its color best in partial shade. Stems are strong, so the blooms stand up well.

Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Switchgrass, and Wild ginger.
