Notes

'Chrysanthemiflora' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Chrysanthemiflora') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Guérin bred it in 1842. The fragrant Japanese type blooms open white with a cream yellow center and age to cream in early to mid spring.

Pairs well with Great blue lobelia, Blanket flower, and Cinnamon fern.
