'M.K. Čiurlionis' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'M.K. Čiurlionis') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Early to late spring brings strongly fragrant double flowers in deep purplish-pink with lighter, yellowish white edges. The upright plants reach about 45 inches and need no support.
