Notes

'Claire Grace' spotted beebalm (Monarda 'Claire Grace') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its lavender flowers are fragrant and draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It reaches 36 to 48 inches tall, so place it toward the back of the bed.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Indian grass, and Prairie Sun rudbeckia.
