Notes

'Grape Gumball' spotted beebalm (Monarda 'Grape Gumball') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. Fragrant magenta purple flowers appear in spring and summer and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The plant stays 18 to 24 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Indian Summer rudbeckia, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Joe-pyeweed.
