Notes

Clinton's wood fern (Dryopteris clintoniana) is a fern for woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part to full shade and average to wet soil. It grows 24 to 48 inches tall and wide, so give it room. It hybridizes freely with other ferns, including Goldie's Fern and Intermediate Woodfern. Rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with New York fern, White baneberry, and White turtlehead.
