Notes

'Colney' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Colney') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. It has a columnar shape, and bees and butterflies visit the blooms from early to late spring. Colney is grown for fresh eating, and you need a second cherry nearby because it is not self-fertile. Peter Matthews bred it in the 1980s.

Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, White fringe tree, and Campfire rose.
