Notes
'Van' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Van') is a tree for pollinator gardens and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms in early to late spring. The fruit is grown for fresh eating, and you need a second cherry tree nearby for pollination. Summerland Research Station bred it in 1944.
Pairs well with Serviceberry, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Hummelo betony.
