Notes

'Colossus' oyama magnolia (Magnolia sieboldii 'Colossus') is a multi-stemmed shrub or small tree for specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White fragrant flowers open in spring and summer, and bees visit them. Pink fruit follows the blooms. It grows slowly, so give it room to reach its full size.

Pairs well with Lady fern, Spice bush, and Miscanthus.
