Notes

'Columbine' tulip (Tulipa 'Columbine') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The flowers open in early to late spring. They show heliotrope and white in a broken pattern, which gives each bloom a streaked look. A.D. Hall introduced it in 1929.

Pairs well with Thalia daffodil, Claire de Lune peony, and Little bluestem.
