Notes
Corsican violet (Viola corsica) is a perennial for ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Small, fragrant, violet-blue flowers with purple whiskers and tiny yellow centers sit above low mounds of bright green leaves. It blooms from spring into summer. It will multiply and naturalize if allowed, and you can chop it back by two thirds if it gets leggy.
Pairs well with Dalmatian bellflower, Snowdrop, and Little Beauty tulip.
