Notes
'Cortina' tulip (Tulipa 'Cortina') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The blood red flowers open in early to late spring and have a yellow base inside. Each flower has black pollen, and the plants stand about 31 inches tall. Koninklijke Van Zanten B.V. bred it.
Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Many Happy Returns peony, and Delphinium.
