Notes

'Countess of Altamont' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Countess of Altamont') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant single flowers open light pink and age to white in early summer. Dark, stout stems hold them up above handsome dark foliage. Kelway bred it.

Pairs well with Shrub rose, Kentucky bluegrass, and Cinnamon fern.
