Notes
'Crystal Lake' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Crystal Lake') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large semi-rose flowers are dark rose-lake and do not fade in the sun. Bright golden-yellow stamens ring the center of each bloom. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it, and it grows strong and vigorous.
Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Blue sage, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
