Notes

'Cumberland' black raspberry (Rubus occidentalis 'Cumberland') is a fruit for food gardens, pollinator gardens, and woodland edges. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Its arching canes grow fast, and bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit it. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Bartlett pear, May-apple, and Common comfrey.
