Notes

'Navaho' blackberry (Rubus fruticosus 'Navaho') is a fruit grown for fresh eating, jams, jellies, and pies. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The canes are thornless, upright, and free-standing to 4 to 6 feet tall, so they do not sprawl. They can hold several pounds of fruit without a trellis. The large berries are about one inch long, and bees and birds visit the plants.

Pairs well with Pink Lady apple, Brown Turkey fig, and Lovage.
