Notes

'Chester' blackberry (Rubus fruticosus 'Chester') is a shrub for fruit gardens, wildlife gardens, and informal hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Pinkish white flowers open in mid to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies and birds visit the plant. It grows 36 to 60 inches tall and wide, so give it room.

Pairs well with Juneberry, Damask rose, and September Charm anemone.
