Notes

'Triple Crown' blackberry (Rubus fruticosus 'Triple Crown') is a fruit for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is a thornless blackberry grown for fresh eating, jams, jellies, and pies. The strong canes stand on their own and hold heavy crops of large, juicy berries in mid summer without a trellis. Fruits form on second year canes called floricanes, so leave those canes in place until after harvest.

Pairs well with Everbearing strawberry, Silver vine, and Lovage.
