Notes
Cushion spurge (Euphorbia epithymoides) is a perennial for borders and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It grows 12 to 18 inches tall and wide, and it handles dry spells well. Yellow bracts brighten the plant in spring, and the leaves turn color in fall.
Pairs well with Grape hyacinth, Tree peony, and Alaska violet.
Native range
Central and southeastern Europe and Asia Minor.
