Notes
'Dardom' smooth hydrangea (Hydrangea arborescens 'Dardom') is a shrub for borders, shade gardens, woodland settings, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. White flowers open in early to late summer and attract butterflies, bees, and birds. It grows fast and tolerates salt.
Pairs well with Cinnamon fern, Green Spice coral bells, Solomon's seal, and Switchgrass.
