Notes
'Incrediball Blush' smooth hydrangea (Hydrangea arborescens 'Incrediball Blush') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Huge flower heads turn from silver-pink to deep pink and then chartreuse. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It blooms on new wood, so you can cut it back in winter.
Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Cinnamon fern, and Switchgrass.
