Notes

'Dark Rosaleen' mosquito bills (Primula 'Dark Rosaleen') is a perennial for ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil. Small pink-striped, burgundy-magenta flowers open in early to late spring above crinkled burgundy leaves, and bees visit them. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. Divide it every three years after blooming to keep it strong.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Bellwort, Autumn crocus, and Silver Parrot tulip.
