Notes
'David Howard' dahlia (Dahlia 'David Howard') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Howard bred it. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms, which appear in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn.
Pairs well with Montbretia, Anise-scented sage, and Sneezeweed.
