Notes

Daylily (Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus) is a perennial for borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. Its fragrant yellow flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Rabbits tend to pass it by. It also tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Hardy geranium, Lady's mantle, Moonshine yarrow, and Lupine.
