Notes

'Deedie May' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Deedie May') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, double white flowers open early and look rather flat. Crimson thread lines edge the center petals, and some blooms are partly streaked with crimson. Strong stems hold the flowers up well.

Pairs well with Immortality iris, Aromatic aster, Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, and Queen of Night tulip.
