Notes
'Deep Rose' beardtongue (Penstemon 'Deep Rose') is a perennial for pollinator gardens, borders, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The rosy-pink blooms have white markings inside and appear from spring through fall. Hummingbirds and bees visit the flowers, and the dark stems contrast with bright green leaves.
Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Festiva Maxima peony, Lily, and Spiderwort.
