Notes

'Deep Secret' rose (Rosa 'Deep Secret') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The upright stems carry fragrant, dark red blooms in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Mathias Tantau, Jr bred it in 1977.

Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Obedient plant, and Japanese forest grass.
