Delicate tulip

Garden uses

Notes

'Delicate' tulip (Tulipa 'Delicate') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It blooms from early to late spring and bears crimson carmine flowers. Plant the bulbs in groups for a bold color show in the bed, and cut the stems for bouquets. Krelage & Son introduced it in 1928.

Pairs well with Mount Hood daffodil, Cat's Pajamas nepeta, and Little bluestem.
