Notes

'Derek Hill' peony (Paeonia 'Derek Hill') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, deep yellow flowers have bright red flares and open in June, drawing butterflies and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Little Lime panicle hydrangea, Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, and Creeping thyme.
