Notes

'Dog Rose' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Dog Rose') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large Tyrian pink blooms open in mid season and have a Japanese flower form with yellow staminodes. The flowers sit well above the foliage, so they make good cut stems. Kelway bred it.

Pairs well with Spotted beebalm, Switchgrass, and Stargazer lily.
