Notes

'Dorothy Wheatcroft' rose (Rosa 'Dorothy Wheatcroft') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It has a bushy habit and bears fragrant red blooms in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Mathias Tantau, Jr bred it, and it is named for the wife of rose grower Harry Wheatcroft.

Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Obedient plant, and Ornamental onion.
