Notes
'Double Play Blue Kazoo' spirea (Spiraea media 'Double Play Blue Kazoo') is a shrub for borders, hedges, foundation plantings, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and wide with an erect habit. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it.
Pairs well with Little bluestem, Dense blazing star, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
