Notes

White meadowsweet (Spiraea betulifolia) is a shrub for borders, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. White flowers open in late spring, and more blooms can follow in summer and autumn. Butterflies and bees visit them. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Juneberry, Blue mistflower, and Greig's tulip.
