Notes

Downy arrowwood (Viburnum rafinesqueanum) is a shrub for borders, foundation plantings, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. White, flat-topped flower clusters bloom in spring and are followed by dark blue berries that birds eat. Deer tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Creeping phlox, Indian grass, and Royal Standard hosta.
