Notes

'Dragon Scale' elephant’s ear (Alocasia 'Dragon Scale') is a perennial for containers, borders, and accents. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The evergreen plant keeps its leaves all year and reaches up to 36 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Kimberly queen fern, Taro, and Evergold sedge.
