Notes

'Metalhead' elephant’s ear (Alocasia 'Metalhead') is a bulb for borders, accents, and rain gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 36 to 48 inches tall and spreads up to 36 inches. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. The flowers are not showy.

Pairs well with Thalia, Papyrus, and Angel wings.
